The 5th Double Ninth Festival After Hinamatsuri will begin in the area around the traditional cultural heritage district on Saturday, September 21st!

What is the Double Ninth Festival?
September 9th on the lunar calendar corresponds to around mid-October today, and it is said to have been introduced from China at the beginning of the Heian period.
It is said that its origins lie in a celebratory banquet held to pray for good health for family members, prosperity of descendants, and eternal youth and longevity.

In Yuasa Town, the custom of displaying Hina dolls in autumn, which also serves as a way to air them out, continues to this day, and the area around the traditional cultural heritage district is adorned with hanging decorations handmade by the townspeople.

The temperature is expected to drop a little from this weekend, so please come and take a walk around town (o^^o)
