In September 2020, Yuasa Town and Sakahogi Town in Gifu Prefecture, which signed a mutual support agreement in the event of a disaster, played softball in the town as part of a friendship exchange program.

Disaster cooperation agreements are agreements concluded between local governments and private businesses or related organizations, or between local governments themselves, regarding human and material support for various emergency recovery activities in the event of a disaster.
Sakahogi Town and Yuasa Town, which have had exchanges since before 2020, have concluded this agreement with the aim of assisting each other in the event of a disaster in each town, as the towns have experienced different types of disasters.

Last year, staff from Sakahogi Town Hall came to Yuasa Town and toured the town, and this year staff from Yuasa Town Hall visited Sakahogi Town.

I hope that by seeing each terrain with our own eyes, we will be able to respond quickly in the event of a disaster.
